FC Bayern signs Jeju talent Jae-Won Heo on loan
There’s a new arrival at the FC Bayern Campus. Goalkeeper Jae-Won Heo has joined the German record champions’ academy from South Korean top-flight club Jeju SK on a six-month loan and will be part of the U19s’ goalkeeping group. Jeju has been a partner club of Red&Gold Football since September 2025
Jae-Won is an exciting goalkeeping talent from Red&Gold partner club Jeju SK FC. He came to the Campus in January for a trial, where he made a positive impression. He then backed this up in our World Squad. He’s now coming to us for half a year and we’re very keen to see how he develops here in our U19 team.
Jae-Won Heo, 18, joined the Jeju SK FC academy in 2021 and has since made seven appearances for South Korea’s junior national teams. The talented goalkeeper had already trained in Munich for four weeks in January 2026 as part of the R&G partnership between FC Bayern and Jeju SK FC. He further proved himself in this year’s World Squad Class of ‘26, starting in the final match against the FC Bayern U19s. Standing at 195 cm, he’s one of the tallest youth goalkeepers currently at the FC Bayern Campus.
Trial sessions, such as the one from Jae-Won Heo, are a central component of the Red&Gold Football philosophy: they enable young players to gain new inspiration, prove themselves at the international level, and gain important experience for their further development. At the same time, they offer European clubs the chance to assess the quality of international talent.
Red&Gold Football thus continues to focus on sustainable talent development and international networking to help young players make the leap to the big stage of football.
