Young R&G talents gain valuable experience in Europe

Every young player needs the right environment, the right support and the right opportunities to fulfil their potential. The R&G development philosophy combines the expertise of our local partner clubs with the internationally recognized training know-how of FC Bayern and LAFC.
A central part of this approach is giving selected talents the opportunity to train at partner clubs in Europe and the United States. These experiences allow players to discover new perspectives, test themselves at an international level and take important steps in their personal and sporting development. In recent weeks, several players from the R&G network have had the chance to train at the FC Bayern Campus.
Latin American talents train with FC Bayern teams
While staying in Munich to participate in the Red&Gold Global Trophy with their clubs, Adonys Quiñónez and Dalmeber Estacio from S.D. Aucas, as well as Lisandro Torres and Félix Gómez, both Mexico U16 internationals from LAFC, trained for several days with FC Bayern’s U17 and U19 teams.
Another promising player to experience the FC Bayern Campus was Bruno Meza, a young talent from R&G club Racing de Montevideo. The Uruguay U15 national team player spent two weeks training with FC Bayern’s U16 team and was also able to showcase his talent in a friendly match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
For the young talents, these sessions were an opportunity to work with new coaches, experience different training methods and train alongside some of the most promising players in their age groups.
Six weeks at the FC Bayern Campus
For Dawda Saine and Alpha Omar Jallow from Gambinos Stars Africa, the experience lasted even longer. Both players spent six weeks training with FC Bayern’s U17 team and living at the FC Bayern Campus.
This gave them the chance to experience the daily life of an FC Bayern youth player in full – both on and off the pitch. They were able to familiarize themselves with the German culture, challenge themselves in a highly competitive environment and gain valuable insights into the training routines of FC Bayern.
The pathway to professional football
Bara Sapoko Ndiaye is a striking example of what this sustainable development approach can make possible. The 18-year-old trained with FC Bayern’s U19 and U23 teams before gaining first experience in men’s football at LAFC’s former partner club in Zürich. He has since completed a permanent transfer to FC Bayern’s first team. “Bara Sapoko Ndiaye’s journey shows our players that it’s possible to take this pathway. That’s a huge source of motivation for the players,” says Philipp Baier, Manager International Scouting at Red&Gold Football.
This motivation was also a driving force for Rodrigo Dudok. The 19-year-old winger from Racing de Montevideo trained with FC Bayern’s U23 at Säbener Straße and earned his chance to present himself to first-team head coach Vincent Kompany. For Dudok, the experience marked an important stage in his development. He subsequently made the leap to the Portuguese first division and is now playing on loan at Estrela Amadora, continuing his career in European football.
Red&Gold Football therefore continues to focus on sustainable youth development and international networking to help young players take the next step onto the big stage of football.
