Racing Club de Montevideo
Long one of Uruguay´s traditional clubs with more than 100 years of history, Racing Club de Montevideo is known for its outstanding youth development program, earning it the nickname, "La Escuelita", meaning "the little school".
In 2021, Racing was reorganized economically and transformed into a sports corporation (SAD), as is customary in Europe. An associated investment program created the basis for sporting promotion to Uruguay's first division. In the current season, the promoted team qualified for the qualifying round of the Copa Sudamericana at the first attempt.
Red&Gold Football became the majority shareholder in Racing de Montevideo SAD in December 2023.
